
Baysal Dincer, TurkeyDiagnosis: PANCREATIC CANCER WITH MULTIPLE LIVER METASTASIS

Baysal was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on May 2007, in Turkey, her native country. The doctor’s prognosis of Baysal’s condition was grim – they gave her no more than 3-6 months to live. Baysal and her family were determined not to give up, and find any way possible to fight the cancer. Watching a show on Turkish television, Baysal was first introduced to Gene Therapy. After getting in touch with Dr. Dinggang Li, from the gene therapy center at Phoenix hospital in Beijing, they made up their mind to travel to China for treatment. Today, two years after her diagnosis and her doctors’ grim prognosis, Baysal is still alive and fighting the disease.
